I just received a call from the MSP asking me some interview questions and was told that they would know how to process applications on Friday when they know more about the the Court ruling for the Stay.
Questions asked:
Are you (NAME)?
Last 4 of SSN?
Last 3 of Drivers License?
Do you drink?
Job Position and company?
Have you seen a Psychologist?
Are you married?
Do you do drugs?
Your boss name and number?
Why do you want a CCW?
Questions asked:

Got my call. When I sent in my application I forgot to enclose my application fee. I did mail a check the next day so I guess I am good since I got the call.

Very polite. Conducting interview over phone. Not sure how the ruling will go but going through the motions and application will be put on hold. Told I had a business. Said I could apply for permit for business. Since this was in I should wait until we get the ruling.
Felt like I was doing another polygraph. LOL

What does my boss have to do with anything here? I don't want them calling my boss about this. They are more than welcome to verify my employment, but that's not the same thing.

Sounds more like information verification, than an "interview for a carry permit" (I did see your followup post, too).
Interesting that it would be that black-and-white.
Not sure I understand the "Last 3 Drivers License".
The 'boss name and number' really makes me angry. I'm hoping MD will go to a streamlined app, much like Florida's. It is NO business of my boss if I do or do not have a permit.
I'm not even all that keen on the 3 references, as A) it's really no one's business, and B) why can't they just take a home number and leave a message to call back, why do they need the employer and work address.
