Finally got the front barrel band off my M48A yesterday. Everything matches but it definitely isn't unissued. The metal is all in great shape and the stock has one arsenal repair but is in pretty good shape also.

Looks good, I am looking forward to seeing how these shoot. They seem well made but out of all of mine, I think the Vz 24 takes the cake

hoping to shoot my yugo 48a sometime this week.
I removed the sight hood and tapped the front sight left and right some to loosen it up, so I know I can drift it at the range. Hopefully it won't shoot too high. My Russian K98 was spot on at 50 and 100 yards, hope this is too.

I picked up a couple of Swiss bayonets for myself as a Christmas present.

The first one is shown below.

I saw these mentioned on the Swiss Rifle forum and had to find one. So I started searching on Ebay. Yes it is a Swiss Bayonet letter opener (8" long.)

Here is a photo with one of my K31 bayonets and a Pioneer bayonet.

While searching on Ebay for the item above I found another Pioneer bayonet that was ending soon at a very low price. It is in fair condition, but for less than $70 shipped, I couldn't pass it up.

Photo next to my other Pioneer.

Also just an FYI, there are M1 Garand and and K98 bayonet letter openers on Ebay as well if you need to complete your collection.

    Yugo M48A report
After fighting the "sick house" over the weekend, I finally got out to the range with the M48

Good news is that its NOT shooting Hight. As a matter of fact, elevation was dead nuts on at 50 yards. Had to drift the front sight a hair to get the windage correct, but all shots in the black @ 50 yards. Bolt was a bit stiff closing on the round but everything else was pretty smooth. It did not shoot as well as my Russian Capture K98 but I find these old milsurps need to have the cob webs shot out a bit before the groups tighten up. Offhand it was comfortable as well.

I got my Chilean Model 1912 today I paid $343 with buyer's premium plus $38 shipping, so not a steal. Everything matches except for the cleaning Rod (which is off by 10 rifles), the bore is great and the stock does not appear to have been sanded. It has the normal handling marks for a 102 year old rifle and the metal is not perfect, but overall I am very pleased.

Just woke up to sign for this and snap a crappy pic. Will post better ones later.
M39 from P Burns. I love what the Finns did with the two-stage trigger. I got some Finn parts and made that mod to my Scout 91/30.
