Finally bit the bullet so to speak and applied yesterday 6/10. I fear I need a CZ75. We'll see how it goes...

Did prints yesterday at American Identity Solutions in Rockville. It seemed a little sketchy when I walked in. It seemed like they could grab all the stuff and vacate the office without a trace in about 2 min. But I must say it went very smoothly, and every employee was professional and efficient.

I am not aware of any MD FFL who based on the MSP advisory, would transfer a firearm without the buyer having the card in hand.

If you can provide a cite, then I'll retract my statement.

This from the MSP HQL FAQ. it states the HQL must be presented to the dealer. Not the number or a computer screen. Notice the word possess in the MSP requirement.

I don't know what to tell you. I was able to buy my 1911 after my HQL went active online but before I actually got the card in the mail. They just looked it up online.

Updated this AM - Done and approved. Applied 6/10 - Certification 6/19. :party29:

Nine days - not too shabby for an unconstitutional BS process :sad20:

Just got my fingerprints done... seems pretty shady that they charge you 50 bucks and the fingerprint people charge another 50 bucks. I'll update yall as I get approved. On a side note I cant find my paperwork for Maryland Designated Collector is there a way to look that up with MSP?

MSP will look up your Designated Collector status when your 77R gets sent in. You don't need to show the paperwork to an FFL when buying. (At least, that's what my FFL tells me.)
