This is what I have either completed or in the works:

16" 5.56, Mid length, Iron sights, CQB type
    24" 5.56, Rifle length, Scoped target/varmint gun
16" 5.56, Carbine, Iron Sights, CQB type
18" 5.56, Mid/Rifle length, floated hand guard, holographic sight, hi end parts
20" .308, Rifle length, floated hand guard, scoped

The thing is my favorite LGS keeps getting sought after lowers in! AR lowers have become like crack to me! How many of these darn things do I need? Help, someone, pull the needle out of my arm!

I don't need any. How many do you want and how many can you afford and store?

I feel personally that everyone of "fighting age" should have at least one relatively modern rifle (preferably an AR-15 due to availability of parts, ammunition, and expertise) and at least 1000 rounds of ammunition for it. This is an emergency provision, like a fire extinguisher or first-aid kit. You hope to never HAVE to use it, but if you DO, it's there.

A buddy of mine and I used to have a running joke that three was the limit on the number of AR15 lower receivers you could own for personal use...any more than that and you are certifiably insane.

Notice that this doesn't limit additional uppers/parts...and it was always somewhat ambiguous as to whether 308 AR-pattern rifles "count". :D

I got two spikes lowers consecutive serial numbers and one engage lower on the way. I need a noveske lower and I think I'm done. Those will keep me busy during the winter months. Oh and if I can get my hands on it I need a umbrella corporation forged lower too
