This is my Gen I with the Austrian Army Holster. It's been upgraded but I have all the parts along with the original box. I replaced the original rear sight when the original fell off when I dropped it on the forest floor. I have that too. I thought that plastic sight was a weak point. I bought it following the rifleman article. At the time I was on Search and Rescue in California and I wanted something light with more firepower. This was after our seminars at Barstow about remote drug labs and booby traps. I'm glad I kept everything. I see there sort of rare. the rubber around the grip is for better retention.
    Still no pic

Wow your kidding I can see it. I'll check on my other computer thi iPad is wired sometimes.I can still see them both on Safari. Did this work better?

I see it now. That's awesome! How much?

What I paid for it in 84? Probably in the 450 range.i would have to look for the receipt. I could not find the holster anywhere it says across the top strap Holster 45 Austria, with the Glock logo across the back. What I always liked about it was the thum break. It tilts forward and clears like grease lightning. It's made from the same polymer as the gun I think.

The Gen1 17s aren't terribly rare but they're not exactly common either. With a lot of diligence, they can be found.

I knew you were just posting! It's a great gun to have and considering you bought it new, I'd keep it forever if I were you.

Just thought this was an interesting combo for the 42.
