Call Hk to confirm tomorrow. The guys on Hkpro called and confirmed it. But it always pays to confirm for your self. I will do it sometime before I make my purchases. Will report back when I do.

Good point, thanks for the advice.

The language on the rebate doesn't limit how many rebates a person can get, simply states one per gun.

That was my understanding as well, but I figured that it never hurts to double-check! Now that I know that others have interpreted the rebate coupon the same way I have, I've decided to get both the 9mm and the .40 caliber for my collection!

Anyone seen a good starting price on a P30L LEM in 9, a Elite, or a 45 tactical? Will be getting one of these before the rebate expires.

Keep your eyes on HKspecialist.com as he said he has several Experts still pending FFL and if they don't come back soon he'll list em for sale again. His price on the 2x10rd 9mm Experts is way better than Bud's, even if it is higher now than when the rebate started.

I was excited about this deal, then I hit a gun shop and picked up a USP. My hand is too tall vertically for this pistol, it just didn't feel right. Oh well, maybe I'll check out the VP9 down the line, it looks pretty nice.

Finger rest mag plate. My hands aren't large by any means, but they're not tiny either. I found my pinky fingers rolling over the bottom of the magazine floorplate, weaking my grip. I ordered some finger rest floorplates from HK and that solved the issue.

These images show the IMO large difference between the two floorplates:

    Nice Tactical Orbital E.
Mine wears the Surefire X300 Ultra and a GG&G rail adapter. How do you like the all black sights?

Those aren't mine; it actually looks like the Tactical above has adjustable target Mep night sights.

To be frank, I hate the all black sights that come on the SD/Tactical models. It's a non-serrated ramped blade, which is great for holstering, but has some UNGODLY glare on it when shooting indoors. I replaced it with a thin Dawson Precision fiber sight (patridge not ramped) and I find it much easier to find and focus on the front sight blade now, my precision hasn't changed much either.

I've noticed prices seem to have risen about $100. Makes it a lot less of a good deal...

You shop at shitty places. Prices I've seen have been stable for nearly a month, though I saw HK Specialist did raise their price on Experts by approximately 5% after their initial lot sold.

Seriously though, where are you guys shopping for these guns that you're seeing piss poor pricing? I've seen AMAZING pricing as folks prepared for the rebate; new USP9f for just under or over $600 after rebate, USP Tacticals for under $800 after rebate (USP45T for just a bit over $800), P30s for mid $500s after rebate, etc.

What prices are you seeing for the USP Compact 40? I'm finding right around $800 pre-rebate from a few places. CTD had it for around $760-770 from one of their warehouses the other week but they won't ship to MD and the warehouse with the lower price pistol sold out.

That sounds about right. USPf/C models have been right around $800 though I've noticed ban compliant ones are always more expensive. GrabAGun has the neutered magazine USPC 40 for ~$900. HKspecialist.com has had some good deals, though I see a lot less guns than I did two weeks ago. BudsGunShop.com has the USP40C 10rd for $797 cash, possibly a bit lower with the 'Make An Offer' feature.

You could also get a USP9C and swap barrels/mags (someone who posts here mentioned the mags are actually the same too?) to have two calibers in the same gun.

Good; hate to be off by $50-100 on the price. Already bought my 3.58-inch HK Sig 357 barrel to drop in an HK USP Compact 40. As I understand it, the springs might be more compatible vs moving a 9mm gun to a more potent caliber.

Also ordered a holster and both 40 S&W and 357 Sig ammo, so I'm committed, just deciding from where and hadn't had the chance to visit IPs (where a $850-900 out the door price would be fine).
