The Burris mount will work well, I have a couple of them, though I opt for the QD versions, just personal preference.

Blue loctite 242 is what I use for scope ring screws and it can be broken loose by hand if need be (to remove the rings you have now). A little heat to the screw will help if necessary.

Personally, unless I have a short 1-4x tactical scope, or a red dot, I don't use sights. Most of my scoped AR's use up most all the room, no place to mount sights and they won't do any good unless you can remove the scope to use the sights. All of my scoped traditional rifles are sightless. Don't see a need for them, never needed them, the scopes have always worked fine. Using a red dot or shorty, low powered scope, you can set up flipup sights to cowitness with the optics, so you can just deploy them and look through the sights and scope at the same time, but with a higher powered scope, this won't work well at all.. ;)

    Sling mount options from Midway...

The 2nd link from Midway looks like it would work, but how do you install it, just slip the one part in there and screw the other in from below?

Also, with the front mount being a gas block do not use a plastic front sight if you do put sights on. The heat will melt it.

The one in the second link requires popping the hand guard loose. Once back together then the swivel you listed attaches and locks.

Also, can you explain this bore brush to me ( I don't have one in .308 size)?

    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/89...style-308-caliber-bronze?cm_vc=ProductFinding
That is not a bore brush, it is a chamber brush to aid in cleaning the rifle's chamber. When you look at the chamber on an AR barrel, you have a large lug locking area in the barrel extension that can be tricky to clean, these brushes will allow you to get in and clean that area, but.... they are not for cleaning the bore, just the chamber area....you'll never get it down the tube.. lol

Just get a regular 30cal brush like for any other rifle and you will be fine.
How do the other 2 listed attach?
They would all attach in a similar manner. The sling swivel mount needs to be bolted into the handguard, requiring it's removal to install. They have to bear a lot of weight with a 308AR, so they need to be properly installed to secure them. Remove the handguard, install the swivel mount in the bottom and reinstall it.

Yes, then you can use a standard sling swivel, like the one you listed to attach a sling to the stud. ;)

So should I get a scope mount like the Burris?
    http://www.midwayusa.com/product/15...ings-flattop-ar-15-matte?cm_vc=ProductFinding

I assume 1" permanent. How do I remove the scope from the rings it is currently on ( which was lock-tited)?

    Which lock-tite? LOL

    http://www.midwayusa.com/find?userSearchQuery=locktite+

Is a bore sighter really needed?

And lastly- that sling mount- can anyone find one that will work that Midway sells and is in stock?

BTW I know little about all this, but if you want to know all about fur trapping and taxidermy, ask me LOL.

Any reason you can't just use the rings already installed on the scope? I prefer to have my scope mount lower if possible so I'd prefer the rings you already have over the PEPR for a dedicated deer rifle. Depends whether you are comfortable with the scope height once you put your cheek on the stock and look through it.

I use quick detach mounts on many guns but unless you plan to swap this scope to other rifles or swap a red dot to this AR10 you probably don't need a qd mount on this rifle.

The hand guard is too high and the front of the scope will not clear. Maybe a riser can be attached to that instead of getting the pepr?

You can get taller rings if you want. I use Leupold QRW rings (quick release for weaver/pic rails) and I know that both Leupold and Warne make scope rings of all different heights, I had to use extra high on one of my rifle scopes due to the scope diameter.

There are also various risers out there to get you a little more height with your rings. ;)

SWFA has some deals on scope mounts as well... You need a Gas Block Front Sight, and a matching rear sight.

Many Brands to choose from, google for BUIS images and scan away to your liking and then purchase from a reliable vendor...
