I Though readers of this thread might be interested in this story...

I guess many of us have noticed that Maryland Walmarts in recent weeks have frequently had .22LR in stock. I like CCI Minimags and Walmart's price has been $7.47 per the usual 100 round box, pretty good I think in the current supply & demand environment. So when I saw a Md. seller on Armslist offering Minimags at $95 per 500 (!) I emailed him asking if he was willing to beat Walmart's price. I don't believe in using profanity on this forum, so I won't quote his reply verbatim. Let me just say it consisted of 2 words; the first word started with "F" and the second word was "no."

Can't say I think too highly of his salesmanship technique...

Used to get 500 rds of Remington .22lr for $16 at Wally World. Miss those days. Haven't been shooting in a long time due to the shortage. Now if I could only find a Nordic components 22 upper I'd have a reason to pop off some of rim fire gold.

I've been trying to find 22LR ammo for months and very rarely do I find it. I've only managed to get a single box of 22LR and I was luck. I must be looking at the wrong Walmarts if you're finding it frequently.

Where are you located? If you don't mind a little drive Trop Gun Shop, Elizabethown, PA, 10-15 miles wesst of Lancaster on 283 had tons of CCI Standard $40 / brick last 2-3 times I've been in. By tons I mean couple hundred bricks.

I'm in Glen Burnie so that's a bit of a drive for me. I'll just keep looking and hope to get lucky.

WalMart in Randallstown has .22LR Remington Yellowjacket HP for about $9/box. The sporting goods associate looked bored and I thought she might not be interested in helping me. To my surprise she was very friendly and helpful with the purchase.
