Whole article is confusing, especially this paragraph that makes no sense.
About 4,000 Pennsylvanians currently have Florida permits. Those residents now have 120 days to trade in their out-of-state permit for one issued by Pennsylvania. Their Florida permits will be honored will be honored without the need for a permit granted by a Pennsylvania authority.
It seems the "loophole" that "needed" to be fixed was requiring PA residents to hold PA permits. But article seems to indicate that they screwed everyone including PA non-residents in the process.(On purpose of course).

EDIT: Read the PDF attached a few posts above...Looks like only PA residents are affected.

    I read it as
PA resident only=must have PA CCP
PA and FL resident=CCP from PA or FL must have proof of FL resident if you don't have CCP from PA
FL resident=good to go as normal

Basically if you live in PA only then you must have a PA CCP

the so-called Florida Loophole, which previously allowed residents who were denied a conceal carry permit in Pennsylvania to get one in Florida.
Then they go on to say
you can turn in your Florida permit for a Pennsylvania one
If you were denied a PA permit (which for a resident isn't all that hard in the first place except in Philadelphia) now they're going to give you one?

Wonder if they will reconsider letting us MD'ers get a PA non resident permit?

Yeah, i couldn't even type that with a straight face. This was done solely to lessen the number of people carrying in PA. I guess that makes some people feel safer...

The ironic thing, Florida requires a background check to include sending finger prints to the FBI.

PA is simply a PA instant check and your good to go.

Well, so much for being able to carry in PA with a FLA non-resident permit.

I wonder if the stupid biitch AG will now try to kibosh Utah and Virginia non-resident permits.

That was her campaign platform - abolish the "Florida loophole" as the Philly media dubbed it, and review ALL reciprocity agreements. That was why Bloomberg supported her. Abolishing CCW reciprocity is a MAIG initiative. Elections have consequences.
