I finally got around to building my new 18" rifle.

    Here's the parts list:

    San Tan Upper/Lower
    Nordic 18" barrel 1:8 twist
    BCM 15" KMR rail
    Young Manufacturing light weight BCG
    Timney trigger
    JP silent buffer
    Battle Arms Safety
    Magpul stock and grip

This thing cycles well and is super smooth to shoot.

I still need to find a 1-6x scope. There are a lot of options to choose from.

Nice! Very clean looking rifle. I'm shopping around for a a 1-6 scope too. I'm waiting for Vortex to release the Strike Eagle and see the reviews. That and the Primary Arms 1-6 are really the only I've found in my price range. To go on your rifle though (obviously you spared no expense with the parts), you can't go wrong with a Razor, VCOG, USO, Leupy MK6, SWFA...

I'm a little late to the party, but here's mine:

Upper is a Del-ton 16" HBAR, lower receiver is an ATI Omni-hybrid with a parts kit from PSA. Looking for a good optic to put on, and I believe I'm set.

Are you using the photobucket app or the website? I use the app and I never have size issues. Maybe the app resizes things?

I have the same DTI upper on one of mine but now wearing a Midway quad rail. It's great.

Just finished putting one of the many bare lower/upper sets I've got collecting dust in the safe to good use. I've got a few 16" AR's already so I wanted to build a fun little flamethrower. 7.5" barrel, Fortis rail, Noveske upper and lower, Noveske KX5 muzzle device, Magpul AFG2, Stippled Magpul grip, Phase 5 pistol tube, Spikes T2 buffer, a cheap Browning red dot for the time being. Thinking about an Aimpoint micro eventually once the budget allows, but with a Disney trip planned this winter the optic may be postponed quite a while lol.

Looks nice (and looooong). I'm very interested in your experience with that barrel. I had what appears to be the same barrel on one of my builds. It was a 2+ moa barrel!!! Tried lots of different ammo with the same results. Very disappointing.

I switched to a WOA barrel and it dropped to less than 1 moa.

I'm wondering if I had a dud or if that result is typical.

A long time buddy of mine does it on the side at his house. He does a damn good job too. I've had him do several things for me. Very fair prices too considering how time consuming it is. Here's my M&P 40 and another one of my AR's that he did some work on. I can give you his contact info if you're interested in getting anything done. If it's a frame for a handgun you've technically gotta stay there with him while he does it since he's not an FFL.
