So I am not really sure what SOCOM + NM means with a pistol upper. Can some one explain this to me. I'd rather not expose my ignorance any more than I thought NM was more of a barrel length, trigger and sight thing for match compliant but tricked out. SOCOM would refer to the features on AR prescribed by that part of the military. I thought SOCOM would choose AR variant based on the mission.

Are all of these words marketing jargon?

    Please explain.

Edited because I got confused with the NM SOCOM UPPER and NM PISTOL UPPER in the thread title. Can't edit that though.

NM, they are referencing the handguard they are using on that model. Scroll down to the description they mention it again in the body of the description.

Oh would ya look at that. Radical is using buzzwords that don't actually apply to the product at hand in the hopes of selling more of them to unsuspecting newbs.

    Classy.

More important than the fancy wording I would keep an eye on the twist rate.

On a fun gun its not super critical but it helps to know the grain of bullet you will be shooting most often before hand. For even if you plan on shooting tula or silver bear you want atleast 3 moa accuracy out of it which is achievable without hand loading and with cheap ammo.

1:9 twist is about what you want if you're shooting 55gr/62gr.

I just wish Radical and similar places would offer a config with a "normal" non-FF handguard and a railed gas block. It's a 7.5" upper, I'm not trying to shoot tiny groups with it.
