I have a Poly lower New Frontier if I remember that I picked up PRE oct1.

the rifle I was PLANNING on builidng apparently shouldnt be put on POLY .. ( 17hmr upper from Alexander Arms).. says do not do it...

Can I sell the still stripped lower to a friend ( provided he gets the HQL and all that jazz) if they live in MD?

If not.. what should I make it into open to suggestions.

    Is 17hmr that powerful?
I've had a 556 upper on an nfa lower two years and hasn't shown any degradation.

After reading the site, I think they are warning against the installed polymer trigger group that nfa uses.
If you're using a standard lpk, it should meet their trigger recommendations.

Q28. Can I use a polymer or cast lower receiver?
No, the rifle is designed to use either a forged or billet aluminum receiver typically with mil-spec tolerances. The polymer receivers will have problems with respect to tolerancing and strength.

You can sell it to a buddy. Transfer via FFL or MSP. NO HQL required.

Odd why when I bought my new lower. Did I need to give my hql

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you bought the lower pre Oct. 1, there was no such thing as a HQL until after. Are you sure you're not thinking of the Firearms Safety Training Course Certificate of Completion? But regardless no HQL is needed for a stripped lower.

What dealer? We (Engage) have been doing 77rs with N\A or Receiver Only in the HQL line and they're coming back not disapproved.

That one was dropped on the floor by a child (thus, not a far drop).

    Your dealer is clueless.

I bought two lowers from The Bank without showing my HQL.

Just like other things... Not all poly lowers are made the same. The NFA has been tested and tested and retested, with no such failure. The lower in your picture is NOT a NFA lower.

Why does it have a sear hole?

I suspect that the damage was done before the drop. One of the tests that NFA does is literally throwing a complete rifle as far as they can throw it several times in a rock and dirt environment, pick it up and make sure the barrel is clear, fire it and repeat. No breakage and no failures occurred.
