Who will replace Holder Thread?

Holder's replacement will face a tough confirmation, and will also have a big impact on gun law enforcement (and maybe influence amicus briefs in SCOTUS cases).

It's hard to imagine someone worse than Holder, now that Kamila Harris has bowed out.

I am pretty sure all these potential nominees are anti-gun, but I suspect some are more anti-gun than others.

The question, IMO, becomes one of whether they are looking to stabilize where it is now, or accelerate, and that may just depend on how the elections shake out.

I wouldn't expect a nomination until then.

So, we keep Place Holder for a while.

Nothing preventing it, AFAIK...

But other than political promises, why would one give up a lifetime gig?

In any case, though, I couldn't see THIS Senate approving him for SCOTUS.

They're in no rush, I'm sure.

Eric the PlaceHolder can still do a lot before he leaves, and I fully expect him to be used to patch together "good news" for the Administration before Election Day.
