Thanks! I want to have my son practice some more and wanted to use the proper equipment. He's a smaller kid so size does matter.
Thinking back to my training, I think I used a .410, but I'm not positive.
I do know it's more about proper use than accuracy.
Good morning crew.
My son took his hunter safety training online last year. He completed the "classroom" part, but needs to complete the field training.
I don't recall from when I did my hunter safety, but is there a specific caliber that is used/required for the field day?
Thanks!

Thank you all who testified today that this is faulty and flawed legislation. Let’s hope this goes the right way!
Is there a list of who testified today? Will there be a transcript? I’m not sure how that all works.
Well, I submitted my comment this morning; be it as it may.
I was dismayed at the comment length limit of 5,000 characters. This caused me to cut down my total comment a bit. I hope it still makes sense.
While I did utilize some resources, I tried to control the amount of cut and paste that...

Very nice! Given the opportunity, I would take out the four that have been seen around here too. You know for the four that have been seen, there are 2 or 3 that haven't been seen.
More sightings in the Havre de Grace area...

We had a coyote sighting in Havre de Grace last week. Buddy of mine saw it on Chapel Road near Bulle Rock...those woods are contiguous with my neighborhood. Time to keep an eye out and have something ready to take him down!!!
I have a feeling I am going to get a bit flamed with this, but what do you wear when you are working on your firearms?
I sometimes just want to go into my man cave and work on my guns for a while in the evenings. If I still have my work clothes on or something on that I don't want to get...
Cooking tip...to get those bones really clean, use a short length of fishing line wrapped around the bone and slide it up the bone and off. It will clean the remaining meat right off for a cleaner presentation....(I will go hand in my man card now!!)
I have one, and have used it for a few seasons. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot at anything living yet, but it's very nice at the range.
SOMDSHOOT makes some good points, and I likely will go buy a dedicated muzzleloader in the near future. Reason being:
- I don't like having to...
If you ever want someone to help you with the dispensation of some overgrown ground rats, please let me know. A little target practice would be good!!! I am in HdG, plenty close for some time on the farm!!!
I went out with my bow on Friday morning into the woods across the street. I nearly hit one with my car while pulling down the road and heard/saw a nice sized doe about 20 yards behind me while sitting waiting for sunlight, but it was still to early so she got a reprieve.
There's plenty of...
When I had my '91 Ranger, I had terrible traction issues when there was a forecast of rain. I went to a local metal fab shop and asked them if I could dig through their dumpster. The owner asked me why and I told him I wanted to bolt some extra plates to the rear of my truck's frame to add...
About 4 years ago, I saw one underneath the Promeande in Havre de Grace.
I was standing there with a buddy when it came crawling out of the marsh. I gave him a look, he gave me a look and both of us starting throwing big pointy rocks at it....too bad it would have taken me too long to go...
I live in HdG and I just found out about it the next day. Maybe Deb from Estate Brokers has some information. I will check with her.
The show is 23/24 October.
Located at the Havre de Grace Community Center, located on Lagaret Lane...
They're all over the place up here in HarCo.
I know the Proving Ground has listed them as a hazardous animal on the installation

I would love to see one when I was out hunting...free target...
