      Carry outside the home

http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/11/us/guns-post-office/index.html It's not in black and white, but it infers there is a right to carry outside the home, at least in my opinion. A judge ruled the post office must allow carry in the parking lot. Thoughts?

      Constable involved shooting

They have to be elected locally, whether it be township, borough, or ward of a city. They can work for any district court in any county willing to give them work. The work they can perform for the courts are warrants, including arrest warrants, evictions (referred to as landlord/tenant)...

      Constable involved shooting

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. The deputy constable had his certification revoked due to insurance lapse. From what I can tell, they haven't determined if charges can or will be filed. http://www.officer.com/news/10919449/victims-fiancee-pa-constable-saved-sons-life

is there a procedure to remove a county or counties from the state?

This is true, but history also contradicts itself. If Virginia never actually seceded, then west virginia couldn't secede from it and rejoin the north either, therefor there is no such state as west virginia.

      WUSA9 POLL: Mandatory Gun Ownership?

You must know it by now! You can't win! It's pointless to keep fighting! ... Why? Why, Mr. Anderson, do you persist? ... " "Because I choose to... "

Sandy Hook shooter tried to emulate Norway massacre

Yeah I saw that part, but it was a bit vague as written. Was the officer saying the CBS report about video games was incorrect, or the bit about norway was incorrect, or both? Later in the article the police said they had looked at the norway incident but didn't say much else about it. The...

Sandy Hook shooter tried to emulate Norway massacre

According to the article: "According to the sources, the 20-year-old Lanza wanted to top Breivik's death toll and went to the Connecticut school on December 14 because it was the "easiest target" and had the "largest cluster of people." "

      CA4 Issues Stay, Expedites Appeal

Every time I see this thread jump to the top I get all giddy and hopeful only to open it and be disappoint. Sigh. March 4th then I guess.

      Courteous Question

While most of what you say there is true, LEOSA covers law enforcement officers, not just active and retired police officers. I'm not trying to pick nits but the distinction is important. My understanding is that in PA sheriffs do not have statutory powers of arrest by default and therefor are...

      Courteous Question

Were all trying to be friends here in this thread Name, I received several informative suggestions to the questions I asked and I replied thankfully. Others have asked some questions and we are having a bit of discourse. There is no need to get angry or toss insults. I know it's monday but we...

      Courteous Question

Constable's are not police. As such, there would be no reason nor benefit to them getting Act 120 cert unless they were planning on trying to get hired in a municipal police department. Or maybe one of the larger sheriffs offices, some deputies get Act 120 cert for the additional powers. But...

      Courteous Question

Not sure what you mean here. Are you saying I am humorous and have a comedic personality? If so, I appreciate the compliment, though I didn't catch what it was I said that make you lol.

      Courteous Question

Constable? I never said anything about a constable... but they are basically sheriffs deputies without the ability to enforce traffic laws. They are the sheriff equivalent of the Magisterial District Courts I guess you could say. But that is extremely vague and overly generalized. There is...

Thank you for your input, I may give those numbers a try as well. These questions are all about an unnamed federal statute. It's safer that way :)

      Courteous Question

That was actually my first thought. I wrote them an email, and 10 days later I had not heard anything so I emailed them again. They said they had forwarded my email to the "State Police Legal Team" but could not provide an ETA on when I might hear from them. I went to MSP website hoping to find...

      Courteous Question

I actually thought about that but on their webpage when I go to Contact Us I have to select a barracks. Is there a particular barracks that is the "HQ" so to speak? I suppose I could just pick one and ask, I'm sure they'd be happy to redirect me elsewhere up the ladder. Thanks for the input...
