Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

Peoples Republik of Marylandistan Hi Guy's, I wrote this a while back in a different thread. Thought maybe it would lighten things up a little. :D What, you want to leave The Peoples Republik of Marylandistan !! To all who are thinking this you must be Enlightened!! Comrade's...

Some of us get it Ab and unfortunately, some of us don't. :banghead:

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

Would it not cost more for the purchaser than the price of the firearm? It would probably cost $1k+ for the lawyer to research case law to see if it is even winnable (is that a word)? :innocent0

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

I get that. I am just having some fun. My opinion is the FFL does not need a factual basis to defend himself as long as he is in compliance with Federal and State law. I don't remember if you are one of the guy's that has been following along in some of the other threads my saga with all this...

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

Then the FFL goes on to explain that the law does not require him to give reasons, but for the sake of the court I have done 20 transfers with MR A, who is a designated MD collector , I have known him for years and have never had a "disapproved" on him from the MSP. Mr B just came onto my...

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

I don't know about all that, but I believe there are laws that define what discrimination is and isn't. Would it be worth the retainer and legal fees to try and sue a FFL to get your gun? Judge: Mr FFL, why did you transfer to MR. A and not transfer to MR. B? FFL: Your Honor, the law, as...

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

Gbh, no disrespect intended here but the law says the FFL may transfer, not that he has to. I am not seeing why a FFL would have to worry about customer #2's attorney.

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

My FFL is transferring on the 8th day and he is not an IP here. You know the whole story of what happened with me and mt FFL. It seems that the "3 day rule" in pretty well established as good to go. It seems to me everyone is hung up on the MD 7 day wait. Nobody has been able to answer...

Drive to remove MSP as POC for NICS!

MX, my FFL asked his ATF guy how to go about getting a change in the MSP status or what we could do to speed things up. ATF told him to contact the FBI, as they run NICS and they granted the MSP poc status. He said the FBI can go in and audit the MSP, put pressure on them and that they were the...

      Building a public range

I heard all about a while ago. Do you know Scott? He is a great guy and will do whatever he can to help you. Prices are so so but the lanes are nice, he usually has lot's of goodies in stock and the whole place is totally professional.

      The Class III?

      Building a public range

Yep, sort of. His brother is married to my sister, so I guess he is my brother in law-law? I see Tim all the time. I met Scott when they were in the old location on Rt 751 about 9 years ago. I did a bunch of NFA guns with him. Yes, I agree about the start up cost on any type of retail...

Letter to Marcus L. Brown; Secretary of MSP

My question to that is: Why have the MSP not "officially" taken the stance that it is not legal to transfer after 7 days? Don't you think that the MSP would send an "Official Letter to All FFL's stating that it is unlawful to transfer after 7 days without a not disapproved or NICS Number"...
