      Pietta has stepped up their game in recent years. They are about equal in terms of quality. Fit and finish of the grips is better on the Uberti I have. Cabelas runs some awesome sales from time to time. Take advantage.

      Sorry for the OPs predicament. It's a real bummer. This is one of the reasons not to own SBRs, SBSs and FA. Supressors don't have this requirement.

      This ^^^^ If you have a pistol gas system, you should not have cycling issues with subsonic ammo. Sounds like you are shooting supersonic loads through you 8.5?

      Really? Most who have one think they are pretty good shooters especially if you got an early one with the 1/8 twist 5R barrel. Not everyone has the $$ for an LWRC or Daniel Def or even a Colt. The Sport is a perfectly serviceable rifle. This is coming from a combat arms vet.
