Thanks for the heads up. I ordered a case. This is really good ammo, too, not to be confused with Wolf steel stuff.

Don't know about how clean or dirty it is compared to the Russian made Wolf stuff. This is made in Taiwan and from what I've read is loaded to M193 specs. It's real popular stuff.

I have some of it and in my experience has been clean and accurate. I will definitely buy more. I was hesitant to buy it, but after receiving, inspecting, and shooting it, I give it a

Shot about 100 rounds last Friday. VERY clean at least compared to Tul, and agreed, felt more powerful than .223 ammo.

No issues, no mis fires, or anything. Good cheap ammo.

this is one of the more expensive "free" forums on the internet.

but 300 shiped for a case of quality AR food, and an ammo can cannot be beat.

and did I mention the cans stack pretty well?

The Wolf Gold is very good. I have found it accurate and reliable. Don't have a target handy to show the results, but you will be satisfied. Not quite match quality, but you could score well with it if competing and wanting to hold down on cost. Think I paid $330 per thousand at a Howard County Fairgrounds show a few months ago...dealer is based in the Pittsburgh area and frequents Silverado shows.

    Speaking of ammo..

Can you store ammo, in one of the ammo boxes like that comes with this deal, without their boxes?

In other words, is it safe/OK to have an ammo box full of LOOSE, unboxed ammo?

I was able to get 2500 rounds of Perfecta 9mm into the box that this Wolf ammo came with, but could probably fit several hundred more, if they weren't in boxes...

Sorry if it's a dumb question. I know this is the "ammo spotting" thread, but thought it would be easily answered by a fellow ammo hoarder, lol.

Georgia Arms does this with their Canned Heat. I do it with .223 ammunition, no problems.

I don't see why not. the cans are sealed, so long as the gasket is still good. it's less moisture prone than the paperboard ammo box.

the only problem is do you want to take out ammo by the scoop? its slightly more annoying to load loose ammo into magazines imo.

you would also lose tracibility if you have some bad ammo, so you wouldn't know which lot your ammo was from (unless your 2500 rounds is from the same lot.

as far as the ammo is concerned, no problems
