Getting SBRs clarified via the handgun definition is only useful to dealers who then won't have to deal with roster submissions. I would still like to see the original intent of the law put in writing with respect to short barrel rifles and machine guns not being considered assault weapon copycats. I understand MSP is only applying the copycat provision to SBRs at this time, but what is to stop them from applying it to machine guns as well? Why can't we have SBRs under 29" OAL when that was not the point of FSA2013?

Was told No 2A bills were getting out of the House judiciary this year. The delegate is a judiciary member.

    Vallario is desk drawering them.

Good and when the Gavel drops on 4/13 I hope Hogan holds a press conference. Come out and say since the House and the Senate faild to protect the citizens of Maryland I have direct the MSP to accept self defense as good and substantial. it is time for criminals to be put on notice that the good citizens of Maryland will no longer be victims.

Then for almost a year permits are issued and no blood on the street.
Vinnie will be marginalized , which Delegate or Senator would have the balls to submit a bill to "fix" it ?

    House Judiciary (410) 841-3488

Ask that the Chairman bring HB767 (sb100 crossfile) and HB432 to a committee vote. The staffer I spoke with was kind. Be kind in return :)

So then we go after Dumais and Gladden. Gladden's last election was against a man who was wanted in Texas for felony charges (http://articles.baltimoresun.com/20...tment-20140617_1_hanna-checks-senate-district).
The fact that the next cycle is a few years off is a good thing, since this would take time anyway. These people only care about one thing: re-election. Make them believe you can take that from them and they'll get out of the way.

Next few years should be interesting. Vallario is 78 years old; anyone know if he's planning on even running again? With Milkulski retiring, a bunch of people are going to jump into the US Senate race; this might free up a US house seat; if history is a pattern then some of the higher ranking MD Senate members may try to make the jump. Won't be good to have yet-another-anti in the US congress, but might unlogjam some stuff at the state level?

Vallario stepping down = dumais heading house judiciary. Dumais needs competition in her district.

    Give it to her anyways.

Introduce yourself and what district you're from (we all vote, right?).

She said that she would enter me into the log and even re-asked for my name. Maybe I'm special ;)

Called as one of Vallario's new constituents (was in District 23A; now 23B). Got an officious male who took my request and bade me farewell.
