Plan D? Not worth the hassle.
I think that the best way independents and Dinos can help is by making it ok to vote republican, like its a normal thing, and Maryland will not implode per Brown's ads. I think the time for secrecy is over.

A Dino may be seen as a trun coat. It will never be normal to be r as long as the d control media and the mga.

Moreover the changes needed for MD are going to be painful. No r can save it in time,

When this election us over, at best we will have a an R gov by a narow matgin and a d mga liinf in wait. See Ehrlich. Now I am nearly ready to pack it in. We play smart or we loose even if we win.

Almost 2 years ago I spoke of a long term plan, that we need 2-3 election cycles. But still bull in the China shop is the only mode some her know.

It is a very long term process and we are just starting.

First you change minds. Then you change votes.

Now I will know based on this election, win or lose if folks are ready firva long term fight, ten I will also know ifv its time to pack it in.

First we change minds then we change votes. One election is not a realignment.

    Talk policy not party.

Most Democrats only think they are Democrats. But its a slow process. Change minds then change votes.

    Pretty well presented.

These are things I've been trying to get folks to understand as well, but as we are increasingly surrounded by an instant gratification culture, it becomes more difficult every year.

What I keep hoping and working for, are ways to make short term gains, which can then be stitched into the larger victory down the road. Some of these little wins seem like losses occasionally, but the more of them that get stringed together, the better off we will be in the long term.

Persistence and long vision... We have to.

google is your friend, I am not.
From a representative of the black community in Baltimore.

    BmoreNews.com -
The Glover Report: MD14: The Widening Gap Between Rawlings-Blake, Brown and the Black Community

    He concludes ...

He fires broadsides at O'Malley and Mayor SRB in the process. Read the whole article.

Politicians only fight for your vote when you make them. If you pull the D all the time, it's taken for granted and you are ignored. Then they are shocked about things like police brutality.

I think that the message is starting to sink in, but things come to Maryland last.

Pretty clear choice in District 42!

    AQ Robinson

    F- Brochin

Yep, thats an easy choice! :)

Anyone know which candidates, are descent in Calvert County? For the life of me, I have no idea who to pick. Other than Sheriff Evans, and Hogan. I at least know not to vote for Cardin, Hoyer, M. Miller or the munchkin. I'm still not sure what voting district I am in Northern Calvert. I thought, maybe I'm in 27B. But I'm not sure now. I'd appreciate some help. If no one answers, then I will just push the "R" candidates. I don't know where I heard this nasty rumor, but, it's been said Calvert has no true conservatives friendly to 2A. Worries me a little.:mdpatriot
Have a look at post 2 in this thread - possibly Parenti . I have not updated posts in a while, so let me know if you have any info to contribute on the candidates you research.

You can find which district you are in here:

    https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/PollingPlaceSearch

Once you know that you can check the AGC Candidate Ratings in post #508.

Thanks! I just updated the OP to have the current AGC link.

Side note - md shooters thread reply and PM notifications somehow started all getting filtered to my spam folder, so I didn't realize anyone had posted since my last post. I am glad to see there is still interest in the elections! :)

Just read through, and there seems to be a distinct lack of confidence in Brownstain among folks he should be able to count on.

One thing I agree with, though...

Unless someone is really digging into the issues like we do here, they are unlikely to really understand anything about these two other than the TV ads.

Yep. The way these candidates market themselves will probably be all that many know about them. TV and print media plays a big role in elections, and one needs $$$ for that. The article mentioned Brown likely outspending Hogan by 2:1, which is not good news for Hogan supporters.

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/opinion/editorial/bs-ed-poll-20141012,0,2795147.story

The editorial notes that "26 percent of voters said taxes would determine their votes, but 67 percent said other issues are more important."

Not sure what the 67% is, but I suspect its the economy and education. Education? as in cutting pension funding?

Maybe the education is common core related stuff? From what I recall, that topic had people upset.

    +8 in the Senate??

    Did I count that right?

But, it's still early, and I think more of these could be down to the wire.

As for their Gov call? It looks to be "probability" and not a "poll" number, but I sure don't agree with it.

Most accurate is Nate Silver, his model is +5 to +6 (depends on who the I in Kansas would caucus with). A lot of polls this year have had really awful methodology, like YouGov. Some races are a lot closer than they appear.

He does not do the gov races but there are interesting dynamics in MA, CO, CT.

I'd been hearing Sunday, but no definitive source for that.

    Cool...

Can people hold an impromptu Hogan rally across the street??!

    ;)

Would the SS even allow such a thing? They made people keep their distance at the clinton event. (though that was at a private residence)
