Considering the people Lanier and her staff are writing to are functionally illiterate, taking writing classes would be a waste of time.

I have found mpdc4511 and several other MPD officers I have known for over 15 years to be quite literate. Chief Lanier on the other hand NOT SO MUCH!

It's probably a staff attorney or some other official. She just signs the stuff, but maybe her writing skills suck too. But I wouldn't put my name on something that poorly written.

The Order for Stay was nunc pro tunc which means as if the stay was ordered the day the orignal decision was issued on Saturday. That shaves a few days off the expiration date.

I'm not liking this! It's a trick, folks, don't do it! And even if it's not a trick, good folks are still going to get screwed, I can feel it!

Another reason MD will never win. People are SCARED. Nut up and do it. A few hundred of us did last month in Denver where open carry is ILLEGAL.

How about giving the chief and her staff some written composition classes?

    Apparently they skipped that class.

Her directives were clear as mud to many.

She doesn't write them, only signs them. My buddy is an attorney for her and he needs time to pick apart the decision. Then he writes recommendations, which generally she doesn't follow, and then it goes to 5-6 others who do the same thing and then someone creates policy.

BTW the guy I speak of is very intelligent and very pro 2A

If I'm not mistaken, I think 3000 is the handgun number. I've read that the total number of guns is something like 40 - 50,000.

I registered my CMP M1 yesterday and one of the Officers was telling me how much he wants one. We got so wrapped up in the M1/CMP conversation that he forgot to charge me! I had to mail him 13 bucks when I got home.

In contrast, the civilian employee that escorted me out was telling me how "dangerous" the CC ruling is and that the 2A was for guns like my M1.

Thank you for registering that firearm with the authorities. The act of registration, and the payment of a $13 tax makes us all much safer.

If only voting and news reporting had a application process and a fee requirement.

I'm curious why you chose to register your CMP M1? NOT attacking you, just curious.

Guns like your M1? But that wasn't invented for a century & a half after the 2A was written, And it's semi automatic too... I hope you asked her why the wooden stock made it any less dangerous than other modern rifles.
