I'll never drive down there again. I'm not paying money to have someone treat me like I'm a criminal and talk to me like I'm the reason we have these gun laws. Nothing there other then ammo and Magpul mags are a good deal, NOTHING!!!! They know damn well shotguns and C & R firearms are not regulated, they are just trying to shun MD buyers out of spite. Nothing they have is better priced then what you can find a some brick and mortar stores in MD. I'll stick to the MD shows and drive out of state for mags, thats it.

I will never get this. Why set up for three days at a gun show, pay the cost of renting tables, etc. if you aren't trying to sell as many guns as possible? I'll never understand why the FFLs at VA shows where they know there will be loads of Maryland residents don't take the time to figure out what they can sell them. They're leaving money on the table.

I know MD vendors that go an set up at this show and they have a FFL and cannot buy from some of the un-educated VA.vendors that sell ..My first thought was you have got to be kidding me..really..nope all true seen it first hand..
    Food
There is a good BBQ place right next to the show. I cannot remember the name but way better then the crap in the show..

I was there on Friday and bought a handgun at a good price from Trader Jerry. Accurate Pawn was there doing MD transfers, so they took the gun from Jerry. I did all the paperwork with Accurate, kept the standard-size mags, and I'll pick up the gun from Accurate in a week.

I happened to be in the area and stopped in. Had I driven all that way for that show I would have been angry. It was average in every way. Did get my Dad some ammo for Father's day and one spam can of Mosin ammo to put aside though

One other thing: the vendor selling (i) Indian blackhead aluminum, (ii) potassium perchlorate, (iii) electric matches, (iv) visco fuse, and (v) radio control "fireworks" igniters... All right next to each other on the table. Wow. Just wow!

    WTF? Are you serious?

Oh yeah... Other items being sold: (i) demilled grenades, (ii) reactivated fuzes, (iii) chemicals to make black powder (iv) chemicals to make thermite, (v) "solvent trap" adapters (1/2-28, 5/8-24, and 14mm lefty), (vi) all varieties of exotic ammo, (vii) flechettes... and much more (being sold by a girl with purple hair :party29: )

I see things like that and LOL at people who wet themselves over the so-called "gun show loophole."

I can't speak on other dealers at Nations, but we don't change our prices because of Northern VA. Although the table cost are 80-100 percent higher than any other show, and hotel rooms are higher too. Prices are high there on some items - I have to agree! 75-90 per brick of 22 LR and they won't even let me buy a brick for personal use! WT*!

My apologies to the two guys that mentioned my ad for 10 pmags and get one free deal. I stated that was for the show before and it was, but it was for this show too. My weeks run together sometimes. They did still get the free mags! Thanks!

Noticed one guy above stating AR upper prices as high. I thought some vendors were giving them away - $450 for a complete upper?

Also I have hear a Lot of Noise about VA dealers not selling to MD residents. I have heard some of these dealers stating why - Evidently the VA Supervisor at ATF is really questioning each transaction of rifles going into MD - bordering on harassment and the local ATF evidently dont know the laws either. Even after I showed some of the dealers the final revision of HB 281 they still dont want to get into the middle. Some dealers are just plain stating it isn't worth it. I personally don't understand their reluctance as some items are obviously OK. Like a 24 inch Bull Barreled AR - "but it's not a Colt"!

I've had VA dealers back on 2011-2012 time frame refuse to let me buy a Mosin.

    With my C&R.

    Cause I was from MD.

I rather make a little longer drive and head up to Cabelas in Hamburg, Pa and now the Christiana De store. Never any issues buying long guns and shotguns. Prices are far better than the guns shows. Beautiful Mosins for $99.00, too.

THIS is how it should be done! I wish I knew Trader Jerry, I would have bought a Glock 19 at the show.

Trader Jerry's said they were selling everything at wholesale prices on Friday. I don't know if that was true, but every handgun on the very large table was definitely priced below suggested retail. The only trick is that very few of them come with fired shell casings.

I used to go often but last year was probably it for me. The only remarkable firearms (IMHO) are the high end shotguns and I'm not really in the market for any of those.

Anything else I might be interested in is regulated so I might just as well buy it all here from the shops to which we're extremely loyal.

Well OK we're interested in trap guns -maybe- but we wouldn't buy them there anyway.

We're also kind of maxed out.

There are no MD dealers at the Nations Gun Show? They could very easily sell to an MD resident right?

Even if they are, they're going to have you fill out a 77r and you'll have to wait 7 days to pick it up, so why not just buy it at their shop in MD since you'll have to go there to pick it up anyway?
