I'm all over the reports, seems they liked the biker mortician look today.
... Leo's are not our enemies folks. Quite the opposite.
So you can't yield?
Imagine that, they give each person 1 minute, 4 people go up, 3 yield the balance of their time... Number 4 gets 3.5 minutes. Now they're really saying something. Ha!
You all should have ganged testimony. When each group went up, everyone should have appointed and allocated all of the time to one person by announcing a yield to the person when called upon. Roberts rules allows it, its used all the time in parliamentary procedure and that way you could have really dug in on some topics. It's clear there was a rush on and that woulda been interesting to use their own techniques.
Of course they did. I did get asked if I wanted to be interviewed by WBFF, but declined and I was dressed up nicely.
Wouldn't have happened... Pinsky was determined to get our folks out of there in the shortest time possible.
I turned down a couple on-camera chats as well, but still showed up in some footage (from a distance, lucky for the cameras!!)
I did have a chance to talk offline with a couple reporters who were at least neutral, and possibly supportive (privately).
I don't know, I just know they use a different Rules of Order than Robert's. I posted it back in March.
I really hope that you're able to do better in the 2014 legislative season because Frosh and Co are feeling pretty good right now
Otherwise y'all better get used to the reality that SB281 was "foreplay".......either that or make plans to get the fark out of dodge.
I guess folks were too busy with last minute purchases to show up and defend their rights..........
They use Mason's when the rules that they approve each year don't cover it. (Similar to how we use Roberts but make bylaws that must be approved)

The MSP (LEO's) should be embarrassed by who they had representing them in there. Not that they had any choice in the matter. Before they testified, they were asked to hang around for further Q/A. After they testified the two of them went to the hallway for about 20-30 minutes and then came back in around the time the "DeMarco" panel came on.

Interesting. While my son and I were doing a pistol transfer this weekend, the duty officer told us about a retired trooper who was working security at the Navy Yard on Monday and was killed. He was a bit shaken by it and said we should arm all of our citizens--teachers included. It was inferred that mass shootings, like at the Navy Yard, would likely stop immediately. (We were both shocked by the admission.)

Well next time they pull that 1 minute crap, we should put our own clock up there and do it. At least that way a real argument can be presented
Everyone needs to remember, there is no such thing as "off the record," even when just talking offline.
Be aware of what you are saying at all times, it may show up in print at some point.

What we need to do is have three or more people that present the same point. Person1 does the first minute, person2 takes up where she/he stopped, person3 takes the next part and so on like a relay team.
