How many AR's does one need?

I have four, with a final fifth lower coming in August.

Of those four, three are SBRs, two are pistol caliber, and one is a piston gun. The fifth will probably be a 20" IDF build, because I'd like something simple and light.

The truth is, however, you can get away with just one lower.

I've got the Colt upper, an LE6933, aka "Colt Commando". I don't see anything particularly amazing about it in terms of quality. It shoots good, but so do my other guns.

Then it was suddenly one. Why would anyone need more than one?
Now it appears the answer is at least two, and possibly three.

At this point, I can't see why anyone would need more than three....yet...

I have 2 stripped lowers. REALLY would like a Nordic Components NC22 dedicated 22lr upper for one lower and still hashing out the plans for the other. Of course I can'f afford crap right now. So 1 AR for target shooting/plinking and one for whichever misguided pillhead tries to break into my home at 3AM. 458 SOCOM looks pretty badass.

I only have 2 complete, a Colt 6920/6940. I have a Seekins Precision lower, probably use for an 18" build. Going to pick up 2 more Spikes lowers tomorrow. One for a 20" A4 Clone and the other for shits and giggles. I'm guessing 5 will keep me happy.
