Makes me think that it is going to be bad. "Let's pass this then we don't have to answer for it for several months."

The hold was offered by Sen. Reilly, who voted in favor of getting rid of G&S in an amendment on Saturday. He's one of us.

Frosh has got to be pissed.

Senator Pipkin's office just informed me, when I called Pipkin's office, that Senator Reilly intends to offer amendments to HB579. The Aide did not know the specifics of the rumored amendments.

    Every vote takes time.

Sen. Reilly is working with us here.

Good to read Patrick. Since the Senate just delayed their restart until 1430, and this is third item on the Special Order #81, which itself is the 6th item on the agenda once the session starts again, here's hoping...:fingerscrossed:

If it passes they will need to ram it through the House. Possible, but everything takes time.

    Perfect. Thx.

I tell them who I represent and the phone gets quiet, fast. They take my info and promise a call back from a legislative assistant. Then crickets...

I take that as success. I am nobody, but together we speak volumes. The fact they get scared of talking to little 'ole me means you are doing awesome things. I and MSI are just borrowing your mojo a few minutes at a time.

Would it help to call the senate president's office? Not that Mike Miller gives a rats ass about us, but...more pressure for him NOT to call it to a floor vote in the senate.

Also, if we as MSI members reference that, will that help? Like the fact that you as president get some clout and some attention. More than the rest of us at times (just us mere serfs that they think we are :lol2:).

Absolutely, Mike Miller needs to know that his vote against repealing G&S on Saturday was the wrong call.

As for clout...I got none. They don't know me from anybody else. They do know that MSI will broadcast their acts and let you all bring the noise. Hence...no talkie to MSI.

If you think about it, they'll at least take your calls. Maybe you can put in a good word for the rest of us? :)

I was considering shipping a few crates of rum to the Senate for the afternoon session. Could slow them down a bit... :lol2:
As an MSI member, I'll donate right now to assist in this. And even show up for quorum of the membership to get it done!

I hope I'm right in thinking Miller is deliberately pushing this back in hopes that it will not make it to the House if it does pass.

I would love to hear the exchange between Miller and Frosh.

Miller= "Look you little twerp, the next time you decide to take a simple bill that gives a little perk to police officers, who's votes I charish, and twist it into your own anti-gun campaign, causing me to bail your ass out, you and your Charlie Chaplin mustache will be seated so far back in the room, you'll need a carrier pidgeon to get messages to the podium."

    Frosh=
