Trained with and carried a Beretta M9 so that is unfortunately what I'm most familiar with. I own and am getting very familiar with my FNP Tactical 45 and with a magazine capacity of 15 rounds it fit the bill but it would be a hard choice between the two if it really came down to it. My current Beretta is a 92 compact so maybe the 9mm will be a back up gun.

So, a radio on the arty/CAS fire control net(s) doesn't count? In that case, I like my M&P, so I'd go with that in either 9mm or .45, depending on what ammo I expected to be available.

Second choice, some model of Glock (same calibers), because they're reliable and parts/armorers are everywhere.

I'd likely say a Glock 21. As long as I can get .45acp I'm going with that. Failing that, I'll take a full sized Glock in whatever caliber I can get ammo for.

This. My last girlfriend actually preferred my G21 / 45 over the G17 / 9mm. Either are great.

    The 45 doesn't have the 9mm / 40 snappy feel.

LMAO, you are always so d@mn sarcastic.

C'mon man we all want your input. :lol2:

Lol seriously. Well, a pistol is your secondary. If you go to secondary, things are going downhill fast most likely.
I think I would want probably a Glock. I'm assuming I've been crawling, fighting, in dirt, etc...
So I would want a pistol unencumbered by extra levers and operational things like decockers and safeties that cannot get all gummed up by dirt and debris.

    So they're ya go. Lol
