Bought one of these today...tired of running cords through the house for the freezers/fridge.

My wife also asked me to make sure all my fuel cans are full before election day.....

If you have room in your main panel for a double pole breaker and its not some old obsolete variety (its got a single main master breaker to kill everything?) an interlock switch kit would be much less cluttering and very seamlessly integrated without much to rewire. I have one on my Eaton type CH panel (part of the reason to get a new panel) and you flip off the main breaker, slide the interlock switch and flip on the back feed breaker that is being fed from the generator outside via the wall mounted twist-lock.

I bought a vintage LL Bean Goose Down Vest, but I don't suppose thats the kind of prep items you are talking about.

    How does it taste?

I have 5 tubs of it and I actually haven’t tried it yet. If I need it I guess taste won’t be high on my list of concerns.

I have not tried to preserve any of my chickens eggs and they’ve already cut back laying for the season.

ETA: tried some this morning. It’s good and tastes 100% like eggs. The consistency is more like a pancake though.

Repair parts kits for some handguns. With the possibility that even the mail order of parts may become targeted I'm buying everything I think I'll ever need.
