Alright the first nap I took all the $300 SKS's disappeared.

I had a previous post and I was thinking of a CZ or Walter.

Now I can't find any $350 Walthers? What happened?

Don't tell me they went from $350 to $600.

If that is the case I'll stick to the modern pistol.

I remember when SKSs were $90. My East German Makarov was $180...and the guy selling them had a crate. Rule #1 of C&R - Buy Early And Often.

The day the Cz-82s run out, the price will jump to at least $400.

The sites I checked out were SOG, Classic and Aimsurplus.
They used to always be there, now I don't see any.

Man I have been eyeing the CZ's hard but which one?

I'm still wondering if $350 is a good price for a walther. For a little more $$ you can get a modern pistol. They do have the history factor.

PPs, PPKs and P-38s are all only available on the secondary market. Clean Mahurin PPs w. box and goodies are now starting at around $500. Post war police PPs and PPKs built at Ulm can be had for about the same price.
Zella-Mehlis built pre-war and wartime PPs and PPKs start at around $650 and go up from there. War era P-38s start in the $600 range.
P1s are still readily available but it looks like most high volume dealers have sold out of them. They're easy to find on the secondary market and can be had for as little as $350. If you ever had a hankering for a P1 I'd grab one soon.

Wideners has P1s for about $330. Everybody else seems to be out.

I've held a C&R for over 15 years. If I have learned anything, it is to snap up anything that you think you might want, or that might be good trade fodder, the instant it comes on the primary market.

I've got a long list of "Should have bought" guns. Sweedish Mausers. Manurhin PPs. And I'm seriously considering another Cz-82 or two - those are going to be like East German Makarovs, with the price doubling the instant the pipeline empties.
