I own a Panzer Arms M4. It is a turd. Other than the stuff the Turks built for CZ subject to CZ QC, I would steer clear.

    I also have a 870, 590A1, and a 1301......all solid choices.

Semi-auto?..Buy American or Italian, save yourself the headache.

Yes - good point. My recommendations are all not semi-auto. If you want a semi-auto for home defense, you have to pay a lot more money for them otherwise the reliability won't be there. For semi-autos for home defense I recommend:

    Benelli M1, M2, M3 or M4.

You can always purchase an old High Standard or Winchester semi auto, cut the barrel, and you have a nice dependable semi auto US made gun for very little cost.

I think the only kind of shotgun that is problematic in MD is one with a revolving cylinder. The exception to that is the Curciut Judge since that has a rifled barrel.

You forgot that FSA 2013 banned the Mossberg 500 Bullpup (for no reason, as far as I can tell, other than the fact that it looks scary). It seems weird, given that the 500 Bullpup is out of production, and newer, higher-capacity bullpup shotguns like the Kel-Tec KSG are widely available.
