Took 18 days from mailing for them to charge my CC. They say it'll be within 60 days from that, and many posts I've read online says they're pretty accurrate to that. So you're probably looking at around 78 days.

I received this email from a student this week.

Perrin: I just wanted to give you a heads up on the turn around time for my CCW license.

2/16/13 : Class given at Indian Head Moose Lodge

3/20/13 : Check cashed in Utah by the UBCI

5/08/13 : Permit arrived in the mail

84 days turn around time

I sent out my Florida paperwork about a week earlier than I took the Utah. I received that permit Friday 5/17

Yeah, that's about what we were told in the class I took. By that math I should have the permit about when the app for my Glock comes back.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. When I took the class, I was told to allow 3 weeks for process of payment and then 60 days after that.

I just got mine, 25 days from class to cashing check and then 50 to receive it.

From the feedback from my classes, the average turn-around (from mailing in the application to recieving the card) is 78 days.

I'm kind of a noob to all of this but does taking this class and aquiring this permit make it legal to carry only in the state in which it was issued?

No, it allows you to carry in a bit over 30 states.
