Check the earlier posts in the thread someone linked to a site you can buy replacement housings. So no need fool around painting when you can buy a black exterior with money you saved.

Looks great... did you just use Simple Green or some other cleaners?

It took acetone to get the spray paint off. Strong stuff, so use sparingly.

Sweet. Mine is destined for a future FDE build as well. All I have so far is the FDE lower, so essentially have the first and last pieces and need to fill the rest.
