He also had Trijicon Reflex sights for $200, but the dot seemed a bit dim to me, even with the fiber optic light gathering. I believe you can send it back to Trijicon to have the tritium replaced for not much.

I ordered earlier this week and Gunny's delivered today. Will clean up nice.
note: Its interesting the reticle shows fine to my eye but the camera plays tricks w/ it and makes it look fuzzy.

Check the earlier posts in the thread someone linked to a site you can buy replacement housings. So no need fool around painting when you can buy a black exterior with money you saved.

its supposed to be blurry. turn brightness down, mount it, keep both eyes open.. look through it at your target, does it clear up?

It's supposed to be grainy. That is not necessarily the same as blurry.

I think you may be right. It is my first time with a holographic sight and I was not looking at it correctly. I will mess with it a bit more before deciding.

Is it normal for the edge of the outer ring to start to cut off as it nears the outer edge of the window?

I mounted it and looked through it a bit more. I guess I would best describe it as saying the outer ring kinda looks like it has some of those LED icicle Christmas tree lights hanging off of it (but red). It is not a sharp circle. The further downrange the target it is though, the less noticeable they are. The reticle becomes sharper. Looking at 10-20 ft away, say inside the house, they are quite pronounced. Does this all sound normal?
