Me too but fakes abound and prices are through the roof!
I still kick myself for not paying (IIRC about $100) for one of a number of military shotguns stuffed in a barrel in a gun store in LA back in the late 80's early 90's.
There sure are. I wish they were that Cheap.

And commonly faked so it's an imperative to know how to spot one. But very cool. Oddly, something that I've never chased.

Think you've hit critical mass with your impressive collection. Was scratching my head wondering what could be added at this point. A M1941 Johnson is a huge investment. Perhaps a Springfield 1903A4 or M1C/D? Neither has hit crazy numbers but aren't cheap.
Then there is my wonderful world of .22 training rifles and pistols. All of a sudden you have a significant pile to choose from (literally dozens). But that is taking the collection down a major fork in the road to be sure. But I love the challenge of corrupting others with my obsession!

    Thanks. I appreciate it.

For whatever reason, sniper variants just don't interest me very much.

An M1941 Johnson however interests me VERY much. Maybe next year. That is going to take a lot of fishing parties to pay for…lol

My want list for now (not in priority)

    1. 1938-1944 Wehrmacht issued PPK
    2. ~1938-1940 Pre-occupation French MAB D (love to find one without the Nazi markings)
    4. 1938-1943 Wehrmacht Luger (Like the 1941-42 Mausers)
    5. 1939-1944 Tokarev T-33 (Russian made - no added safety)
    6. SVT-40
    7. M1941 Johnson (My white whale - maybe next year)

I am about at capacity on my safes.
Another Liberty Fat Boy safe will probably be the next major purchase.

IDK - as much as I like the WWII rifles (I have Garands, an M1 Carbine, a 1911A1), I still REALLY want a few retro AR's that will have to wait until I retire and move out of state.

There are several I would like to add but are not Maryland legal, namely a M1A1.

Granted, not a real M1 but I lust after the Springfield M1A Standard.

There are still the many manufacturer variants of what he already has to collect!

    Winchester Garand and Carbine
    Rock Island 1903
    Remington and Winchester 1917
    Smith-Corona 03A3

Just to name a few. Let's not even get started on all the Carbine manufacturers.
