Getting ready to change out my golf cart batteries with lipo and matching charger bms to go with them. Upfront cost is more but longevity is so much higher. Added benefit of less weight. I save almost 300 lbs switching from 6 8 volt lead acid to Lipo batteries.

If I were to Still have my revisor boat it would be lipo. Weight less then my 6 gallon gas tank
Just make sure you charge it during waking hours. I have not had any problems with my lithium batteries but I don't tempt fate by leaving them on charge when I am sleeping or when we are out.

    Good advise John
I never leave battery charging unless I can monitor.
Never personally had issues but heard a few stories of battery failures.
Mostly with lead acid batteries and auto fill systems. Had a battery or 2 explode on me when trying to charge with battery with shorted cell.
Lipo and “matching bms with charger”. Not so much.
No issues with drone, helicopter or plane lipos but always stored as recommended

Lipo ,and other chemical based batteries if used need to be researched on how to charged , Discharged rates , Ect.
“Energy” cells can be harmful if directions are not followed
