This primary should be interesting, although I think Brown may have a better chance. In Maryland's 3 subdivisions that control the other 21, blacks are the dominant demographic, and may very well mostly vote for Brown.

Only problem is, we'll never find someone on our side with money to even compare with that of the Curran family.

Yep, this guy is the new governor for 2014. Really though, no pro 2A candidate stands a chance at winning the governor chance in this state. Best bet is the smaller stuff.

sorry, brown doesn't stand a chance. its suicide to announce his candidacy so soon after sine die, especially after this last session. all o'malley's dirt is on him too, he carried every drop of o'malley's water. and brown isn't md democrat royality. he's not n the blood line of sucession, if you will. nope, brown is nothing but cannon fodder. he is being put forth to take the heat for o'malley's mistakes, so that the party as a whole doesn't have to. that way the dem party's real "chosen one" can swoop in and escape blame.

The politicians don't care. You will sell your house to someone with equal income. Both the income tax and real estate tax won't change - just a pro-2A person out of the state.

You must keep your house in MD, but take your income to VA to make any difference. And if you rent it out, you'll just be renting to someone with similar income so the income tax base will remain the same.

In the end, only those that are not tied down to Maryland can make a statement with moving to VA. I for one would be hard-pressed to move my school-aged kids to VA. Although, with the new rain tax, gas tax, and air tax :tinfoil:, it might not take much to convince my wife that NoVA is the place to be...

I'm going take my income to VA, but continue to own the house here in MD. So MD will get property tax on it, but that's all.

I'm not going to rent my house out, for the exact reason stated above - because that will replace my income with someone else's. Nope - I'm going for a Net Loss of tax income to the state. The house will still be here - but no income taxpayer will be in it.. It'll be "my weekend place". My "official" residence will be in VA next year.

Who writes an article that says Harvard trains people, not educate them. We are in deep trouble.

Yep, Maryland is a lost cause in so many ways. It has morphed into a true Socialist State and there really is no turning back. They really should change their State Motto from "The Free State" to something more appropriate as to what it has become. I know within the next 5 years (+ or -) I will be out of here. It is so sad in that it is such a physically beautiful State and I remember a time that it lived up to its States Motto. Oh well ...

think we are done in this state :( with these two in the race think our chances of getting a somewhat Pro 2A Governor are done.

Think I am starting to feel like the people on the Titanic

I am wondering about all the consternation over events that we knew or should have known are coming. This is leftest state. That is not news. Water is wet,and will drown you if you can not swim.

I intend to swim, not complain about the wetness.

    What say all of you?

Uhh, why does his race matter? Yes, as someone mentioned, it factor into his chances of winning the nomination, but your comment seems to reflect on his abilities should he win the race.

So please, either correct my misunderstanding, or tell me more about your views...
