    It sounds like you enjoy the 'sport' aspects of hunting. After you go back to a compound bow, I could see you trying your hand at a re-curve next.

    I like a challenge and I don't know, the others seem to not present as much of one. They put meat in the freezer , which is great, but I also enjoy the difficulty of things. It makes it more rewarding I guess you could say. Not sure if that makes sense or not.

    It makes a ton of sense and it points to the 'artistic' part of the sport. It is a sign that you're a very skilled hunter and that you're constantly improving. You like challenging yourself to get better, and you like to 'earn it' when you harvest food. My hat goes off to you!

    Edit: [I could be totally wrong. Your wife might say you like buying new toys and easily tire of the old ones. You tell me.]:D
