C'mon, Bubba bettered it up. It's lighter than a BAR, with the reliability of a Garand, and has hand checkering. This is something every worn out battle rifle aspires to be.

BTW a garand is lighter than a BAR normally so I'm a bit confused by the description. This listing pains me badly!

I'm pretty sure it was for paratroopers so they didn't have to jump with a full length rifle getting in the way. Not 100% on that but I know that design wasn't civilian made.
