Nice build Joe. Take a look at Vortex SPARCs as well. I love mine on my 9mm AR pistol.

Yes, they work fine generally speaking. Keep an eye on you buffer face. If you start to see marks on it from the retainer pin, you'll need to add a spacer between the bolt carrier and the bolt carrier extension(included with the kit).

If I may critique, you would be better served by moving the front BUIS out to the end of the hand guard for a longer sight radius.

thanks for the tip. thats my usual spot for my irons but it was the perfect spot for my laser on this sbr rail so i had to make room up there for it somehow

Very nice build. I assume the rubber bands are for the sling. Is the tape on the brace doing anything, or is it just spare tape?

thanks. since the law changed about shouldering a pistol recently, i put the rubber on the brace so it can grip my shoulder and cheek a little better

I'm a big fan of the Sig Romeo 5 red dot. It has an auto on/off feature that is really nice and 40,000 hours of battery life.
