Both are great military grade cans. Not the quietest, but built strong and repeatable poi shift. If $$ isn’t an objection, go for the rc3. Seems like flow through cans are the hot ticket right now. Check out Huxwrx too.

At first blush, I'm not seeing a giant difference between the two(or three if you throw in the SB-2) size and weight wise.

The big difference are the added features, especially the first feature.

    Features

    • 60% less toxic gas in the operator's face, providing a cleaner and more controlled shooting experience
    • Eliminates explosive flash common with low back pressure from the first round fired to the last
    • Fast-Attach® design allows fast, secure, easy attachment and removal without tools
    • Backward compatible with SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach® muzzle devices
    • Compact design maintains firearm maneuverability
