Happened to me at Cabelas a long time ago when Obama was in office.
What I had the audacity to do was to find an attractively priced M96 on the same day I was purchasing a Christmas gift.
A way attractively priced M96 that had to have the wrong price attached to it I found out from a pro staff member who was off that day.
He clued me in later after I sent my wife to pick the Christmas gift rifle up.
They started off with letting me know they were going to inform the aft about my straw purchase shenanigans.
I was a PA resident at the same time, called them on their threat and wound up with both rifles anyway in the end.
Some trivia motivated gun library scmuck know it all was the negative influence- r.
Quit buying from them long ago, no surprise they are Bass pro now.
Plenty of other places to buy guns if your patient enough so dont procrastinate Christmas shopping was LLOE for me.
If that guy was near Daytona beach there's a nice gun shop over to that boulevard near the racetrack.

    I can’t say I was shocked. :sad20:

In Maryland, it is perfectly legal to have firearms with a prohibited person in the home. The prohibited person may not have reasonable access to the firearms.

Just another reason to deal with an LGS and avoid Bass Pro for firearms purchases. You know that somebody was going to say it.

I never considered BP a good place to buy anything other than hunting firearms. And maybe not even that. I'm actually surprised they don't restrict it to such.
Like mentioned, LGS is better for self defense firearms even if it cost you more $.

IANAL, but this seems to be a clear violation of the prospective purchaser's civil rights.

Of course, I understand that 2A supporters are expected to surrender this right at the whim of the merchant, so I'm probably wrong about this, just as I'm wrong about most facets of New America's lockstep march into totalitarianism.

BP is simply the next target/victim in a long line.

Sports Authority/K-Mart/Sears/Walmart the suits will play along and try to be nice but their reward will be a screwgie up the ass like all the others.

The $50 shipping included ammo deals ain’t bad…

Can a retail entity violate your Civil Rights?

I would never buy guns again there. Had a Md permit and they walked me to the door with the guns in a bag while I already had one on my waist.

    They don’t make sense.

    I dunno.

I'm reminded of a wedding cake bakery fiasco as well as a university that earned massive fines for hassling a local shopkeeper.

BP is not a victim of the Biden Mob.

Only in so far as they are so afraid of them, they make up their own stupid rules to please their Masters.

This happens to nearly all Corporations.

Went with a friend to look at a firearm he was interested in at BP Arundel. He wanted to purchase there because he is a rewards member. They refused to show it to him because he didn't have an HQL. He only wanted to look at it. I threw my HQL at them. Took the handgun and handed it to my friend to look at. He decided he wanted it so I drove him to 2A. He bought it and they held doing paperwork till his HQL came in. F BP.

I drove an hour and a half to one of their stores that had a scope in stock I wanted. The ******* behind the counter told me I had to take a number and wait like everyone else who wanted to fondle or purchase a gun. I walked out and bought elsewhere, never to return.
