Also dependent on shooter's hand size, I have medium or so sized hands, the ambi doesn't get in my way with just a Hogue grip - My father though has more meaty hands, and he has noticed the ambi-safety rubs the trigger finger with the Hogue grip, if he shoots more often, I'm sure a trip to Scott's will be in the cards.
50 to 100 rounds isn't that bad if it chafes your finger, but if your expending more rounds than that, it's definitely a beneficial touch.
