    They really are pretty. What wood are they?


    They are Goncalo Alves. I got them at the Greenville NC gun show, from folks called NC Ordinance, Inc. They had a whole table of grips. Most of them are made here in NC.

    I have no affiliation with them whatsoever other than seeing them at the Greenville show. They seem to have a lot of grips and the woods are made in Wilson, NC, only about an hour and a half from me.

    I'm really pleased with the look of the grips. I was looking for some S&W service stocks and he made me a deal I couldn't pass up. These were $75 and I got them for $45.

    Two pre-number models in 45ACP. Model 1955 (pre 25) on top. Model 1950 (pre-26) on bottom. Both from the '50s. They shoot as good as they look.
