    Where they send me.
They will create loopholes, even if there are none. It's the way socialist work. Incrementally taking from people till there is nothing left to take.

I totally agree, we shouldn't provide them with intelligence (they obviously have none) but they will create them. Next will be the "sniper rifle" loophole to seize the hunting rifles, then it will be more "weapons of war talk" and since we used lever guns in the Indian War they will have to be taken, oh and BP was used in the Civil War so those will have to go also.

They will not stop whether they have information or not, they will make up the "facts" just like the gun show loophole. Lie bigger and more if it's not working, just like other famous socialist/communist/fascist who went on to kill millions of their people.

Perhaps it is time to open up a vetted forum on the site for discussion of strategies and other items that THOSE BASTARDS don't need to see.

****Sort of like the Journolist site setup by prominent members of the media to coordinate their attacks on conservatives, and to promote the liberal policies of the current administration, and the liberal agenda in general. Ezra Klein of the post was in it along with a BUNCH of other prominent newspeople from major newspapers, magazines, and television.

There is a reason seemingly all of the MSM seem to parrot the exact same talking points at the same time with the agenda they decide to be pushing (gay marriage is 24/7 right now until that issue is done, then it will probably go back to guns..) They trot out some faux conservative that also bashes conservative values like personal responsibility, the right to keep and bear arms, etc...

You will never be able to keep strategic discussions etc.. from being found out on such a large forum. Probably best to keep to PM's amongst yourselves or through regular email, face to face, etc..

Journolist mentioned above was ratted out by someone on the list and they had to go underground too, though it is CLEAR to see the same net result in terms of message collusion amongst the MSM to this day so those folks are still at it.

Ideas are being taken from this website by the opposition. They will close any loopholes they can find. Please do not post about what will not be banned, or you will find it soon will be banned! Talk to you local gun shop in private about anything you want to purchase :)

Make no mistake about it – the violation of your 2A rights does not stop with this bill. They want confiscation, and not just rifles!

You listened to the hearing and thought they took ideas from anywhere but inside their own little heads?

I heard nothing that indicated they made any advance preparation or investigation of the subject, even in the broadest terms

I thought I heard Dumais say she didn't want to add curio and relic firearms (or maybe it was antique) because that it may limit the ability if a future legislation wants to add them to a banned list. Or words something like that. Can I get a confirmation that I heard that right?

I think that it is a little paranoid but I will follow what you guys tell me to but I honestly don't think they are smart enough, care enough or spent enough time to even understand what they are talking about to come here for information. It is obvious they have no clue by the fact that every hearing that I have been at or listened to that they aren't getting/using any information from any experts or people that know about this subject.

most definitely. Last evening I was watching the committee thread and at any given time there were approximately 90-100 guests and 200 members logged on from 6-8pm. It had me thinking as well that these need to be moved, but where is the question.

These 90 - 100 guest need to be in Annapolis on Tuesday or Wednesday instead of sitting in their recliner, pecking away on their iPhone.

Legislation can be reversed. Elections can have consequences. We lost a battle. It is time to look at what we have, what we can do with it, and what we need to do to fix it.
I hate to be Captain Negative, but that's now how it works in Maryland. A given incremental step of gun control is like terrorism, we have to win every time out, and they only have to win once.

Perhaps it is time to open up a vetted forum on the site for discussion of strategies and other items that THOSE BASTARDS don't need to see.
Good idea, bow how would we do it?

It's the way socialist work. Incrementally taking from people till there is nothing left to take.
...and that's the elephant in the room that they refuse to acknowledge. Cooking the frog my raising the setpoint in the "jacuzzi" a few degrees at a time while the clueless frog stays in the pot.

    Great point.

I had seen a number of flaws in the original proposals and had already had alternate plans to deal with them. I didn't post anything because of the very reason you state.

I agree some of the stuff looks like they don't know what they are doing such as the nothing but lead cores in ammunition proposal. Whoever drafted that knew exactly what they were writing and did it as a way to try and slip in a gun ban without it being a direct attack on the firearms themselves.

Many people accuse our legislators of being ignorant on the subject. They are anything but ignorant. You don't get close to the top of the food chain of elected officials by accident.

And just remember what they say about karma.

Nope, I truly believe they are ignorant when it comes to this sort of stuff. I could take a lot of them hunting, and in a single day probably find a couple of instances where they violate the law. I kid you not, most hunters need to hunt with their attorney present. Same goes for fishing. And the attorney had better be an avid hunter or fisher too.

Now, shooters will have to do the same thing.

I bet Frosh wouldn't even have a clue about what some of these "assault weapons" look like, much less a copper solid bullet. Heck, hard to tell something is a copper solid unless you cut the bullet in half.

I'm not moving anywhere and neither is anyone who owns a home. I just got a killer deal on a single family home, 100k off asking price and some nice land in a nice neighborhood. Am I going to fight this shit? Absolutely. A I going to move to va to spend 200k more on a home and have a long commute? Absolutely not. Every time I go to pa or va to visit family I will be able to carry and satisfy my need and this ban is giving me the ammo I need against my wife to "stock up now".

I think the 8.98mm x 78mm lead covered ice bullet slipped through also, along with its dedicated sniper shot gun. Even so, I ordered one yesterday in case they realize their error.

This is exactly what they want: to delegitimize gun ownership. You won't be able to talk to your friends about guns, won't be able to ask simple technical questions here, never mind going to a public range. They want gun ownership to be a dirty, seldom-mentioned activity engaged in only by the dregs of society.

Thats fine. Then we dont have to worry about msp, nfa, blah blah blah. Well just go to Baltimore, PG, or DC and pick up some cheaper guns from the friendly neighborhood drug dealer. I mean, we are being made into criminals. However as we see with the laws, the bad criminals go free usually. So we will be able to do what we please, without consequence. Your morals will be the only thing holding you back from being a gun owner. Thats the way to get through MD
