On sigs website all of the P22X ('cepts the 220) threaded barrels are M13.5 x 1LH. The P229 I bought brand new a few months ago is 1/2 28 RH for some reason. I ordered a suppressor at the same time and they are now ordering me the 3rd piston since the first two were incorrect. Not sure who is at fault here, but it has been frustrating when I show up to shoot my suppressor (while waiting for paperwork) and it doesnt fit. The barrel is a factory sig but how did I wind up with an odd-ball?

The manufacture sticker on the box was from this year.

Gun also has sig label rubber grips instead of the "dark" metal grips which I dont see as an option anywhere on the site.

Very odd. I just looked through our entire Sig price sheet and could not find anything but LH threads on the 226/229 series. May have been easier just to get another sig barrel in the LH and then sell the RH or keep it for future use.

Next time I talk to our Sig rep I'll ask how that may have happened and I'll let you know
