  • Not yet, but will probably happen in time as I use it more. Found the clip point very useful in opening bundled items, as one pulls back and it slices cordage easily. Have actually given myself a nasty cut with the pictured ZT 562 when closing too quickly one handed. Nearly took the tip off my thumb and was bleeding nicely.

I did the same thing when I first got an 0562!
The detent and bearings make it flip closed almost as fast as open if you're not paying attention.

The 562 is a fantastic knife though, as I'm sure you agree. As you've said, the smooth deployment can be a double edged sword upon closure, but it's so well put together, sturdy, and great in the hand (solid grip) that it's become my favorite carry knife where permitted.

Buck 112 that my dad gave to me in 1971 for my 12th birthday. I thought I had lost it but it turned up when I was searching for something else in a very unlikely place - down inside an old hunting boot. I wiped it down and put a fresh edge on it this morning. Still as nice and as useful as the day my dad gave it to me!

Got each of the bottom three on ebay for good deals, came from overseas.....
the top one was from a guy making them in his basement, he had a table at the Chantilly show many years ago.

I have one of those. Mine goes missing too. I find it, then it disappears again. Gotta find that thing.

I have wanted to post this picture for a long time but just now got around to digging everything out.

Pictured are each of my Grandfathers Old Timers, along with a handmade blade from one and a Kabar that belonged to the other. Also included are the casings from both of their funerals.

A lot of family history in one picture. Very cool that both men religiously carried basically the same pocket knife. One day I will add my Fathers Old Timer to this photo.
