FNH TPS Tactical Police Shotgun
Here's a blast from the past. I was going through the safes today, as I've been thinking of "thinning the herd." I found a beautiful little gun that I haven't looked at or shot in several years.
At first glance, you might say, "Hmmm - Model 12." Nope. A mini-Model 12!! In the 90s, Browning reissued the Winchester Model 42 .410. They came in 2 grades: Grade 1 and Grade 5. They made 6000 of each. The Old Man had to have one. The Grade 5 had highly figured, glossy walnut and gold inlays. Not The Old Man's style, he settled on the Grade 1. I bought this gun from back in 1999. It has a full choke, but swings beautifully and smokes targets, as long as I do my part.
I'm not the biggest fan of .410, but that, my friend, is a beautiful firearm.
She really is. I haven't seen it in a while. She is a beauty - dripping with quality. One elegant little gun.
My grandfather's gun.
