My dad passed away back in September and willed all of his firearms to me. One of the guns he has is a charter arms lavender lady. It’s too small for my hands and I have zero desire to shoot it.

Is there any reason that I could not sell the firearm, or any amount of time I should wait to sell this firearm? Just trying to stay kosher with the states inheritance rules.

Correct. I just was not sure if there is a minimum amount of time I should wait to sell this so that it doesn’t look like I’m trying to make a profit on his estate and then not pay the taxes on it.

There is no legal time frame. It's not like you are selling his prized Holland & Holland matched shotgun set.
