AFAIK, if you pay tax on it, it is good.

I have a buddy, who now lives in SC, I told him he should buy a piece of property and subdivide to 1' x 1' pieces for out of staters.

Property taxes are more than double for a non resident than they are for a resident. I'm speaking about Dorchester County which is just outside of Charleston. Not sure about the rest of the state. Sales tax is 8%.

Seems pretty much along party lines, with a dozen or so "not voting" or "present". Pretty good though, no major defections. Let's hope the Senate follows suit.
