    I wonder how little a piece of heaven would qualify.

    AFAIK, if you pay tax on it, it is good.

    I have a buddy, who now lives in SC, I told him he should buy a piece of property and subdivide to 1' x 1' pieces for out of staters. :)

    Property taxes are more than double for a non resident than they are for a resident. I'm speaking about Dorchester County which is just outside of Charleston. Not sure about the rest of the state. Sales tax is 8%.

    sticking it in the glove box is cheaper.

    Good to go if you're passing through...not so much for someone wanting to vacation in the beautiful Palmetto State. It's really a missed opportunity on the state's part; i.e., raking in some serious $$$ without a downside. :sad20:

    If this gets through the House it'll likely go to a Senate judiciary subcommittee, which has shot down 2 previous bills(which were only permitless CC).
