Anyone who shoots trap or skeet can tell you how easily you can miss with a shotgun. I should know, I've missed a lot since I started in 6th grade.
No serious smith is going to be offended at not getting this job.
BTW, if you have ever hunted geese before you would know that its very easy to miss with a shotgun, even if the target if flying right towards you and 10 yards away.

I do understand where you're coming from though.
Maybe the OP could opt for just a large white bead front sight and skip the rear sight.

Rifles sights definitely look better and would afford you an extended range with lead slugs if needed.
Was just trying to help out on the cost end of things.

IMO Ghost Ring are faster but that's a preference thing and they will cost ALOT more to add.
